Privacy Policy
How UDocument.online handles personal data when you create and download a document.
1. Data we may process
- Form data you enter, such as party names, addresses, rent and deposit details.
- Draft data saved in your browser local storage so the form can be restored.
- Payment-session metadata, such as document type and Stripe checkout identifiers.
- Emails or messages you send to support.
- Technical data required to run the website and protect the service.
2. Where form data is stored
The form saves a draft in your browser using local storage. This helps restore your answers after a page refresh. Other people using the same device and browser may be able to see that draft, so use a trusted device.
3. PDF conversion
DOCX generation happens in the browser. If you request a PDF, the generated DOCX file is sent to our server endpoint for conversion and then deleted from temporary server storage after the conversion attempt finishes.
4. Payments
Card and checkout processing is handled by Stripe. Stripe may process personal data under its own privacy terms. We do not receive or store your full card number.
5. Why we use data
- To generate the document requested by you.
- To provide checkout and download access.
- To respond to support requests.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse and improve the service.
- To comply with legal obligations where applicable.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you are located and how UK data protection law applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data. Contact support@udocument.online to make a request.
7. Retention
Browser drafts remain on your device until you clear your browser storage or overwrite them. Temporary PDF conversion files are removed after conversion. Support emails and transaction records may be retained for a reasonable period for customer service, tax, accounting, security and dispute purposes.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures for the nature of the service. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information into custom clauses.
